The swearing in of the second Pinarayi Vijayan government will take place on the evening of the 20th of this month at the Central Stadium.
Admission to the swearing-in ceremony will be by invited guests only as the Covid expansion continues unabated. There will be no public access. Cabinet formation talks are in progress.
It is yet to be decided who will be the ministers in the CPM and which smaller parties in the LDF will get the ministerial posts. Bilateral talks are in progress.
Out of a total of 140 members in the assembly, 99 won from the Left Front. The CPM has 67 members, including independents. 17 won from the CPI. Five candidates from Kerala Congress M and two each from JDS and NCP won. Other Left parties like Kerala Congress B and LJD have won each seat. Although the INL and Kovur Kunjumon have demanded the ministry, the Left Front has not yet responded.
