Want to know what happened after doctors advised Sunil Dutt to kill Nargis?

New Delhi: The love story of Nargis-Sunil Dutt was a real Hindi cinema romance. The power couple of the industry was deeply in love and in their hard times, they always helped each other.

When Nargis and Sunil Dutt first met on the sets of Balraj Sahni’s ‘Do Bigha Zameen,’ Duttsaab was a student and aspiring actor, but Nargis was already a well-known actor. But it wasn’t their life’s turning point. Things changed in Mehboob Khan’s 1957 classic, ‘Mother India’ as mother and son. The movie was an impact on the blockbuster and that was the time for the duo.

Sunil Dutt was so much in love with Nargis that he got nervous whenever he used to see her in front of her.

Things were going well in their marriage until one day when news of Nargis’ cancer diagnosis became public. Sunil’s world was shattered by this news. But he refused to accept it, so he took Nargis to another country for better treatment, and her chemotherapy began. Nargis was put into a coma as a result of the painful procedure.

Doctors had given up on her, but Sunil Dutt believed that his beloved wife would recover, so he continued the treatment. The doctors advised Duttsaab to remove her from life support and allow her to sleep peacefully for the rest of her life, but the actor was not ready for it and continued his prayers to save his wife.

Finally, a day came in their lives when the family could be happy again, as Nargis awoke from his coma and began to recover. It was just before the release of their son Sanjay Dutt’s Bollywood debut, ‘Rocky.’ Nargis wanted to see her son’s film, so everything was set up for her.

But it appears that God had a different plan for the family, as Dutt’s wife, legendary actress Nargis, died on May 3, 1981. She passed away three days before her son Sanjay’s Bollywood debut. Sunil’s world came to a halt after she died, and he was completely devastated.
