Modern Yoga should not be linked to spirituality or religion ; CM.

According to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, modern Yoga should not be associated with spirituality or religion. The chief minister made the remarks while launching state-wide celebrations for the 7th International Yoga Day through the internet.

Yoga should be regarded as a kind of healthcare. A big group of individuals will be denied its effect and benefits if it is linked to religious or spiritual practice. As a result, the initiatives of the Kerala Yoga Association to promote yoga while keeping its secular nature are commendable, according to the chief minister.

Yoga is a scientifically proven body exercise. However, it also benefits mental health. We can strengthen our immune systems and increase our energy levels. This will ensure that everyone in society is healthy and energetic. The UN also chose to commemorate International Yoga Day as a result of this, according to the CM.
Yoga is a term that refers to a healthy and balanced union of the body and mind. Physical and mental wellness are mutually beneficial. Yoga is encouraged as a result of this viewpoint, according to the chief minister.
