Aadhar Card Update: You can now access 35 services from your house using the mAadhaar App.

The Aadhaar card is one of the most crucial documents to have in India, and it is linked to everything in our lives, from our phone numbers to our bank accounts, cars, and energy, among other things. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) released an updated version of its improved mAadhaar app, which houses more than 35 online Aadhaar-related services from a mobile phone, in order to make the online portal and its amenities more accessible and user-friendly.

UIDAI announced the new software changes in a tweet, along with links to the iOS Apple Store and Google Play Store.
In another tweet, UIDAI instructed users to remove the prior app and then reinstall the new one with all updates. Notably, the majority of the services available on the app are already available on the website, but the app expands its reach.

1) Language Diversity: The programme supports 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu, in order to break down the barriers formed by different languages.

2) Universality: The app can be utilised even if you do not have an Aadhaar card. However, in order to use the app’s Aadhaar functions, you must have an Aadhaar registered profile.

3) Services: The mAadhaar app’s services are grouped into three categories: “The Main Service Dashboard,” “Request Status Services,” and “My Aadhaar.”

The ‘Main Services Dashboard’ allows you to download the Aadhaar card, order a reprint, amend the address, change the mobile number, download offline eKYC, show or scan QR codes, verify Aadhaar, verify mail/email, retrieve UID/EID, and even request an address validation letter.

Users can use the ‘Request Status Services’ to monitor and follow the status of their Aadhaar or other online inquiries.

The ‘My Aadhaar’ service includes customisation of services, such that one does not even need to provide the Aadhaar number to utilise Aadhaar services. This section also allows the user to lock/unlock their Aadhaar or Biometric Authentication.

In the meantime, the ‘Enrolling Centre Section’ helps users to locate the nearest Aadhaar enrolment centre.

4) Paperless E-verification: With this feature, users can share a QR code and password-protected eKYC, allowing them to perform safer and paperless verifications.

5) Increased Security: The software has a time-based One-Time Password (OTP) rather than the traditional SMS-based OTP.

6) Virtual ID Management: With this feature, users can construct a virtual ID and store up to three profiles in the app’s profile section. The software also allows you to edit your profile information.
