The Kia Carens seven-seater has been unveiled: learn about its features, specs, and more

Following the launch of the Seltos, Carnival, and Sonet, Kia India has decided to add another vehicle to its lineup in the form of the Carens. This new Kia vehicle has been made public around the world, and pricing in India will be announced next year. Kia released a few concept drawings and basic information about Carens in the run-up to its global debut. It’s worth noting that, like Sonet, the Carens will be available first in India before expanding to other international markets.

The Kia Carens is based on the Seltos platform, but there are few design similarities. The Carens, unlike the Celtics, have a streamlined grille flanked by swept-back LED headlights with LED DRLs. The MPV also has a chiseled front bumper, chrome inlays, a false skid plate, flared wheel arches, and a prominent character line running the length of the vehicle. Split LED taillights, a chrome garnish on the rear bumper, a rear spoiler, dual-tone alloy wheels, and roof rails are also standard on the Carens. Surprisingly, the Kia Carens will have the longest wheelbase in the segment.

To liven up the interior of the Kia Carens, there is a wrap-around dashboard and chrome accents. A 10.25-inch touchscreen display with linked technology takes centre stage, while the completely digital instrument cluster provides all necessary information to the driver. The Kia Alcazar competitor has automatic air conditioning, dedicated AC vents for the second and third rows, front ventilated seats, sunroof, numerous driving modes, a Bose sound system, motorized double folding second-row seats, and more.

The Carens come standard with six airbags, ABS, EBD, hill-start control, downhill braking control, and vehicle stability management. It also has tire pressure monitoring, reverse parking sensors, four-wheel disc brakes, and electronic stability control.

Kia has not revealed the engine options for the Carens, but the company has stated that the seven-seater RV will be available with either petrol or diesel engines. The upcoming Kia Carens, according to the South Korean automaker, will be available with manual and automatic transmission options, including a seven-speed DCT automatic and a six-speed manual transmission.
