Kerala Minister GR Anil Reports Distribution of Over 5.25 Lakh Onam Kits to Yellow Card Holders

Kerala’s Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, GR Anil, has announced that they have distributed Onam kits to a total of 524,428 beneficiaries holding Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) yellow cards in the state as of Friday.

The distribution process involved officials from the Public Distribution Department (PDS) delivering Onam kits directly to welfare institutions through mobile ration shops. Additionally, they also made direct deliveries to tribal villages.

As of September 1st, a total of 510,754 Onam kits were distributed using the EPoS system. Out of these, 8,162 kits were provided to welfare institutions, and 5,543 kits were allocated to tribal communities. The distribution of the remaining kits is currently in progress.

Minister Anil emphasized that the distribution of Onam kits will continue on September 2nd.
