Nipah Scare Eases, Kozhikode Schools Set to Reopen

The Kozhikode district Collector has issued orders for educational institutions to resume operations on Monday, following their closure due to the Nipah outbreak. Schools located outside the containment zone are permitted to reopen starting tomorrow. However, educational institutions within the containment zone will continue to conduct online classes. To facilitate online learning for students in the containment zone, District Collector A Geetha has overseen the establishment of an online education platform, allowing them to continue their studies. When schools reopen, they will implement strict safety measures, including mandatory mask-wearing for both students and teachers, the provision of hand sanitizers at school entrances and within classrooms, regular hand sanitization practices, a prohibition on sharing food items, and a focus on cleanliness.
