Actor Shiyas Kareem Granted Conditional Bail in Sexual Abuse Case: Allegations of Assault and Fraud Surface

Actor and social media star Shiyas Kareem, known for his appearances in reality shows including Bigg Boss, has been granted conditional bail in a case involving the alleged sexual abuse of a woman. The complainant, a resident of Hosdurg Taluk, accused Kareem of assaulting her at a hotel on the national highway in Cheruvathur under the pretext of marriage. The incident came to light after the woman reported the matter to the Chandera Police in Kasaragod. Kareem, who was detained by customs officials at Chennai Airport upon his return from the Gulf, has been directed by the high court to appear in the magistrate court and has been released on conditional bail.

The complainant’s allegations go beyond the physical assault, as she claimed Kareem had fraudulently taken Rs 11 lakh from her, promising her partnership in his gym in Ernakulam. Their acquaintance reportedly began when the woman responded to Kareem’s advertisement seeking a trainer for his gym. This case highlights the challenges faced by individuals, even in the public eye, in ensuring personal safety and trustworthiness in professional interactions.
