62nd Edition of Kerala School Kalolsavam to Kick Off in Kollam on January 4

The much-anticipated 62nd edition of the Kerala School Kalolsavam is set to commence in Kollam on January 4, and the final preparations are underway. The Director of General Education will officially inaugurate the event by hoisting the flag at the main stage near the Ashramam Maidanam at 9 AM. The opening session will feature performances by differently-abled students, showcasing Chenda Melam, Mayilattam, Singari Melam, and Kalaripayattu. Cine artist and dancer Asha Sharat will present a dance performance with school students at 10 AM, followed by the inauguration by the Chief Minister. Various events and performances are lined up for the grand arts festival, highlighting the talents of students across different districts.

The organizers have made arrangements for receiving students at the railway station and the KSRTC bus stand, with a help desk operating from January 3 onwards. Registration is scheduled to begin at Kollam town LPS on January 3 at 10:30 AM, featuring separate counters for each district. With 31 schools prepared to offer accommodation for both boys and girls, the 62nd Kerala School Kalolsavam promises a vibrant and culturally rich celebration of the artistic talents of students from across the state.
