New Delhi: Oil marketing companies have announced an increase in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders, effective immediately. The cost of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has risen by ₹16.50 across most regions, with Kerala seeing a slightly higher increase of ₹17. This adjustment brings the price of a 19 kg cylinder in Kerala to ₹1,827, while in Delhi, it now stands at ₹1,818.50. Smaller 5 kg Free Trade LPG cylinders have also seen a price hike of ₹4.
However, prices for 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders remain unchanged, providing some respite to households amid fluctuating fuel costs.
This latest revision follows last month’s increase of ₹62 for 19 kg commercial cylinders and reflects ongoing adjustments in response to volatile global fuel markets. The new rates are expected to significantly impact businesses, particularly restaurants, hotels, and small enterprises that depend on LPG for daily operations.
While the unchanged domestic LPG rates offer temporary relief to residential users, the rising cost of commercial LPG adds to the challenges faced by commercial establishments in managing their operational expenses.
