2025 Aprilia RS 125 and Tuono 125 Unveiled: What’s New and Exciting

A closer look at the revamped entry-level motorcycles by Aprilia

Italian motorcycle brand Aprilia has globally unveiled the 2025 editions of its entry-level models, the RS 125 and Tuono 125. These refreshed motorcycles feature upgraded engines and striking cosmetic updates, catering primarily to the European market. Unfortunately, there is no confirmation regarding their launch in India, as pricing concerns remain a significant barrier.

The standout enhancement for both motorcycles is the adoption of Euro5+ compliant engines. The 125cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine retains its output of 15 bhp and 12 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. An optional quickshifter is available in select regions, offering improved performance for enthusiasts.

Visually, both models sport new color schemes. The RS125 is now available in Kingsnake White and Cyanide Yellow, while the Tuono 125 boasts Viper Yellow and Mamba Grey shades, giving each bike a fresh and dynamic appeal.

Mechanically, the motorcycles remain unchanged, continuing to feature 17-inch wheels, USD front forks, and a rear monoshock. Braking is managed by disc brakes at both ends with ABS, while traction control is included as standard. Both models also come equipped with LED lighting and a fully digital LCD instrument cluster, ensuring a modern riding experience.

While these updates align the RS 125 and Tuono 125 with global standards, Aprilia’s pricing strategy prevents their introduction in India. Currently, the RS457 is the brand’s most affordable model in the Indian market, priced at Rs. 4.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
