India-Pakistan DGMO Meeting Today: India to Deliver Strong Stance on Ceasefire Violations and Terrorism

After a ceasefire agreement, India and Pakistan’s DGMO meeting will discuss Pakistan’s provocations and its role in terrorism, while India emphasizes a firm response to violations.

The situation at the border remains calm following the recent ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. Today, the first-ever meeting between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMO) of both countries will take place at 12 PM. India plans to strongly address Pakistan’s provocations and reiterate its stance on terrorism originating from Pakistani soil. India is expected to raise demands for an end to the growing terrorism in Pakistan and insist on the release of those responsible for the recent attack in Pahalgam.

India will also make it clear during the discussions that any further provocations from Pakistan will result in a severe retaliation. Additionally, India aims to challenge Pakistan’s false propaganda about the destruction of military bases and demands an end to such baseless claims.

Despite Pakistan’s initial breach of the ceasefire shortly after its announcement, the situation along the border remains stable. Jammu and Kashmir has seen a return to normalcy, with civilian life gradually resuming. Shops are reopening, and the Border Security Force (BSF) has heightened surveillance in the region. The ceasefire agreement, which came into effect late Saturday evening, was followed by immediate protests after Pakistan’s violation of the agreement.

In the context of military operations, India’s Air Force has successfully completed its missions as part of Operation Sindoor. The operations targeted only terrorist camps, and according to military officials, nine terrorist centers were destroyed, with over 100 militants reportedly killed. The operation was meticulously planned to ensure minimal collateral damage, and the military emphasized that their actions were precisely focused on eliminating terrorism at the border. The Indian Army has also stressed that it is continuing to carry out operations with caution, responding appropriately to any provocations from Pakistan.
