Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date for submission of online applications for the Single Girl Child Scholarship 2025. This scholarship is available to students whose families earn a gross income of up to Rs 8 lakh annually.
Fresh applications for the Single Girl Child Scholarship X 2025 Scheme can be submitted online at https://www.cbse.gov.in/cbsenew/scholar.html till 20.11.2025. Verification of applications by the school authorities has to be completed by 20.11.2025.
The scheme is intended to provide scholarships to meritorious single girl students who are the only child of their parents and satisfy the prescribed eligibility conditions, to recognise the efforts of the parents in promoting education among girls and to provide encouragement to meritorious students.
All children born together are the single children of their parents. CBSE has also extended the last date for renewal of online applications for the Single Girl Child Scholarship 2024 for 2025. Application for Renewal of Single Girl Child Scholarship X awarded in 2024 (Renewal in 2025) can be submitted online at https://www.cbse.gov.in/cbsenew/scholar.html till 20.11.2025. Verification of applications by the schools has to be done by 20.11.2025.
To qualify for this scholarship, single girl students must have achieved at least 70% in their CBSE Class 10 exams. They should be enrolled in Class 11 or 12 at a CBSE-affiliated school where tuition fees do not exceed Rs 2,500 monthly. NRI applicants are also eligible, with a tuition fee cap set at Rs 6,000 per month.
