Kannur: The Fit Start Sports Injury Clinic has commenced operations at KIMS Sreechand Hospital, Kannur, under the initiative of the Advanced Orthopaedics and Trauma Centre, in association with various sports organizations in Kannur. The clinic was officially inaugurated by Kerala Minister for Sports, V. Abdurahiman, at the Thavakkara Broad Bean Business Hotel.
In his inaugural address, the Minister described the Fit Start Sports Injury Clinic as a proud and exemplary initiative, stating that it sets a benchmark for how the sports sector should evolve. He emphasized the importance of structured medical and rehabilitation support for athletes at all levels.
KIMS Kerala Cluster CEO Farhan Yasin presided over the function. He highlighted that the clinic is led by a systematic and specialized orthopaedics team aimed at supporting individuals aspiring to enter the sports field through pre-fitness qualification training, post-fitness assessments, and comprehensive injury management.
The Sports Injury Clinic also serves as a platform that not only helps athletes realize their sporting dreams but also instills confidence in those who have had to step away from the field due to injuries, enabling them to return stronger.
Renowned athletes Haritha Manoharan, Famas Shanavas, Mithun, Nivedya, and Hrithika, who have proven their excellence across various sports disciplines, attended the event as chief guests.
