Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) Pilani is currently inviting applications for the role of Professors of Practice (PoP) from experienced industry professionals. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by incorporating real-world insights into BITS Pilani’s programs.
The deadline to apply for these positions is September 10, 2024. The selected Professors of Practice will play a crucial role in enhancing BITS Pilani’s advanced research and study programs. Responsibilities include developing new facilities and labs, designing innovative courses and programs, engaging with both students and faculty, and fostering applied research that leads to significant publications and patents. Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants should have a Master’s degree in engineering, science, humanities, or a related field.
A PhD is preferred but not mandatory.
Professionals with an appropriate Bachelor’s degree and a strong background in entrepreneurship and start-ups will also be considered.
The compensation for this role will align with the professor scale for full-time positions, reflecting the expertise and market trends related to the appointment.
