A high-tech kitchen established by the Manav Dharm Shivir is making headlines at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, serving over 1 lakh devotees daily with precision and efficiency. Over 500 cooks and 2,000–3,000 servers are engaged round the clock to ensure seamless food distribution. Today, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to attend a special program organized by the Shivir.
This sophisticated kitchen employs advanced machinery, such as a roti-making machine capable of producing 2,000 rotis per hour and versatile equipment for preparing puris, rice, and vegetables. These machines are pivotal in handling the massive scale of operations, complemented by modern facilities like 2,000 toilets, water supplies, and well-equipped tents for the devotees.
The Maha Kumbh, which occurs every 12 years, has already witnessed over 110 million devotees taking a holy dip at the Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers. This sacred event, rooted in Sanatan Dharma, symbolizes spiritual cleansing and liberation (moksha) during an auspicious celestial alignment. Running from January 13 to February 26, the Mahakumbh Mela anticipates over 45 crore visitors, making it a historic and spiritual spectacle for the country.
The Maha Kumbh is not just a spiritual event but also a testament to India’s ability to manage large-scale gatherings with precision and care. The use of technology and meticulous planning by initiatives like the Manav Dharm Shivir ensures that devotees can focus on their spiritual journey without concerns about basic amenities. As millions gather to cleanse their souls in the sacred waters of the Sangam, the event stands as a powerful symbol of faith, tradition, and the harmonious blend of ancient practices with modern advancements.
