Mamitha Baiju to Star Opposite Suriya in Venky Atluri’s Upcoming Film

After 'Premalu' Success, Mamitha Baiju Lands Her Dream Role in Suriya’s 46th Film with Director Venky Atluri

Rising Malayalam actress Mamitha Baiju has achieved a major career milestone by being cast opposite Tamil superstar Suriya in an upcoming film directed by Venky Atluri. This untitled project marks Suriya’s 46th film and was officially launched with a pooja ceremony held in Hyderabad. The film is being bankrolled by Sithara Entertainments, with music by G.V. Prakash Kumar and cinematography handled by Nimish Ravi. The cast also includes veteran actresses Raveena Tandon and Radhika Sarathkumar in important roles.

This role is especially significant for Mamitha, who has openly expressed her admiration for Suriya and her long-time wish to work with him. She was previously attached to the Suriya-Bala project ‘Vanangaan’, but both she and Suriya exited the film due to creative disagreements. While Arun Vijay later replaced Suriya, Mamitha’s role was recast with Ridha.

Mamitha’s career has seen a rapid rise since her breakout performance in the Malayalam blockbuster ‘Premalu’, which was well received across India. Although she has not had a Malayalam release post-‘Premalu’, several Tamil film offers have come her way. She made her Tamil debut with ‘Rebel’ alongside G.V. Prakash Kumar. Despite its underwhelming box office performance, Mamitha has secured roles in major Tamil projects like ‘Jana Nayagan’ with Vijay, ‘Irandu Vaanam’ from the makers of ‘Ratsasan’, and ‘Dude’, starring Pradeep Ranganathan. Her dream role alongside Suriya is expected to significantly boost her stature in Tamil cinema.
