Gold Prices Surge Again After a Week’s Decline

Rates Rise by ₹560 in a Single Day, Reaching ₹56,520 Per Sovereign

Gold prices in the state have witnessed a significant rise, breaking the solace of last week’s dip. On Tuesday, the market reported a ₹560 increase, taking the price of one sovereign of gold to ₹56,520. This comes after a decline of nearly ₹2,800 over the past week, with signs of recovery beginning on Monday.

Currently, the price per gram of 22-carat gold stands at ₹7,065, while 18-carat gold is priced at ₹5,830. Alongside gold, silver prices have also shown an upward trend, with hallmark silver priced at ₹99 per gram today.

November began with the highest gold price of the month, recorded at ₹59,080 per sovereign on November 1. The recent fluctuations are attributed to global demand for gold, currency exchange rates, interest rate changes, and government policies. Additionally, the strength of the US dollar against other currencies and the overall economic climate continue to influence the gold market in India.
