The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has strongly denied recent claims of examination paper leaks for the ongoing Class 10 and 12 board exams. In a statement released on Monday, CBSE called these allegations “unfounded” and warned that they are aimed at spreading unnecessary panic among students, parents, and educators.
According to the Board, false information about leaked question papers is being circulated on various social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter). CBSE clarified that these claims have no factual basis and are being deliberately spread to create confusion and anxiety. It reassured students and parents that stringent security measures are in place to ensure a fair and smooth examination process.
The Board also issued a stern warning to individuals involved in spreading such misinformation. It stated that students engaging in these activities could face strict action under CBSE’s Unfair Means rules, as well as legal consequences under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Furthermore, CBSE confirmed that it is closely monitoring the situation in collaboration with law enforcement agencies to identify and penalize those responsible for disseminating false information.
To maintain the integrity of the examination process, CBSE urged students, parents, and educational institutions to rely solely on official updates available on its website (www.cbse.gov.in) and verified sources. Parents were also advised to guide their children against falling for unverified news and rumors that could cause unnecessary stress.
