
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode will conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 this year. According to the notification, the registration process will begin on August 1 and continue till September 13. The exam is scheduled for Sunday, November 30, and the official registration link will be made live soon on iimcat.ac.in, the same portal used for CAT 2024.
CAT 2025 will be held in three computer-based sessions across nearly 170 cities. Candidates can select up to five preferred cities while choosing their test centres. The detailed notification with guidelines and instructions is expected to be uploaded shortly on the official CAT website. Application fees include Rs1,300 for candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories and Rs2,600 for all other applicants.
Applicants can apply before September 13, 5 pm. Admit Cards will be released on November 5. The exam result is expected by the first week of January 2026.
Applicants must upload the following documents:
- Scanned copies of Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
- Graduation certificate or latest semester results (for final-year students)
- Work experience certificates (if applicable)
- Valid photo ID proof
- Category certificates (for SC, ST, PwD candidates)
- A recent passport-sized photo and signature
- Final-year students must also submit a certificate from their institution.
The CAT exam is the primary gateway for admission into postgraduate and doctoral programmes at the IIMs and other participating business schools. While CAT scores form a crucial part of the selection process, candidates will also undergo further evaluation rounds, details of which will be released by individual institutions.
CAT 2024, organised by IIM Calcutta, saw 2.93 lakh candidates appear for the exam. Out of these, 14 candidates secured the perfect 100 percentile13 from engineering backgrounds and just one non-engineer. Only one of them was a woman. In terms of demographics, 1.86 lakh candidates were male, 1.07 lakh were female, and 5 were identified as transgender.
