Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IndianOil) Southern Region has announced the recruitment of 400 apprentices for the year 2024-25 as part of its Skill Development Initiative. This program aims to offer valuable training under the Apprentices Act of 1961, providing a significant opportunity for skill enhancement in various disciplines.
Locations and Disciplines: The apprenticeship positions will be available across multiple states including Tamil Nadu & Puducherry, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. The engagement will cover several disciplines:
Trade Apprentices: ITI/Technician Apprentice, Diploma/Trade Apprentice, and Graduate Apprentice in fields like Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, and Machinist.
Technician Apprentices: Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical & Electronics, and Electronics.
Graduate Apprentices: Open to full-time graduates in disciplines such as BBA, BA, B.Com, or B.Sc., with specific percentage criteria for eligibility.
Stipend and Selection Process: Apprentices will receive a stipend as per the guidelines of the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and Apprentices Rules 1992/2019. The selection process includes an Online Test, Document Verification, and Pre-engagement Medical Fitness. Candidates must secure at least 40% in the Online Test (relaxable by 5% for reserved categories) to advance in the selection process.
