The Border Security Force (BSF) has firmly stated that Operation Sindoor will not be halted and will continue as long as the security situation demands. BSF Inspector General Shashank Anand, speaking at a press conference convened to clarify the ongoing mission, underscored that the operation remains active and the force’s resolve is unwavering. He stressed that Pakistan can never be trusted, with intelligence indicating ongoing attempts at infiltration and provocations along the border.
Due to these persistent threats, the BSF continues rigorous monitoring and security along the frontier and is fully prepared to respond without any concessions. Anand also praised the exemplary courage shown by female soldiers managing forward posts during these tense times.
Despite Pakistani shelling in early May near the Akhnoor sector, India responded decisively by targeting a Lashkar-linked launchpad, subsequently destroying several Pakistani forward posts. In recognition of the valor shown by soldiers who died defending their posts in these attacks, the BSF has named a post in the Samba sector “Sindoor” and plans to honor two other posts with the names of martyred soldiers, Sub-Inspector Mohammad Imtiyaz and Naik Sunil Kumar.
Operation Sindoor was initiated following the Pahalgam terror attack, with India striking multiple terror camps in Bahawalpur, Muridke, and surrounding areas, killing over 100 terrorists and dismantling nine terror bases. Key terrorist figures such as Yusuf Azar, Abdul Malik Rauf, and Mudasir Ahmad were among those eliminated during the operation. The BSF remains vigilant and committed to securing India’s borders against any further aggression.
