Delhi: In a concerning recurrence, three schools in Delhi received bomb threats via email early Friday morning, prompting swift action from authorities. The targeted schools—Bhatnagar International School in Paschim Vihar, Cambridge School in Shri Niwas Puri, and DPS Amar Colony in East of Kailash—reported the threats to authorities between 4:21 AM and 6:35 AM.
Delhi Fire Services officials, police teams, bomb squads, and dog units immediately reached the sites to conduct thorough searches. To ensure student safety, school administrations sent urgent messages to parents, advising them not to send children to school. “We are conducting detailed checks in all the affected schools,” a police official stated, underlining the seriousness of the situation.
This incident follows a similar scare earlier in the week when 44 schools across Delhi received emails of threatening bomb attacks. The sender had demanded $30,000. After extensive investigations, the authorities deemed the threats to be hoaxes, but the repeated incidents have raised concerns about security measures in educational institutions.
