India has launched a powerful counterattack against Pakistan following escalating tensions along the border. According to emerging reports, multiple missile strikes have hit several key Pakistani cities including Lahore, Sialkot, Karachi, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi. A particularly intense explosion was reported near the Bahawalnagar cantonment, believed to be the result of a targeted military strike. Sources also confirm repeated blasts in various locations, suggesting high-precision operations possibly involving both missiles and drones.
The Indian government, in a multi-party meeting, clarified that Operation Sindhoor is still ongoing and that the military campaign is far from over. Pakistan’s aggressive actions along the Line of Control, especially after India dismantled several terror hubs, prompted this robust retaliation. One of the most significant attacks occurred at the Walton Airbase in Lahore, where a drone strike reportedly killed seven personnel of the Pakistan Air Force. Rawalpindi’s cricket stadium, which was scheduled to host a Pakistan Super League (PSL) match today, has also been destroyed in the assault.
Air raid sirens were heard across Islamabad, reflecting the scale and seriousness of the Indian offensive. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh praised the military’s courage and strategic precision, stating that the targeted strikes had successfully neutralized major terrorist training camps in both Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has instructed top ministry officials to remain on high alert and ensure all emergency protocols are in place. The operation signals a bold message: India will not tolerate provocations or terrorism emanating from across the border.
