Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a recent visit to Bihar, reiterated India’s firm resolve to eliminate terrorism and Maoist extremism from the nation. In a powerful address marking the launch of development projects worth over ₹48,520 crore, Modi spoke strongly against terrorism, vowing that India would uproot it from every hideout, especially those shielded by external forces.
He reminded the public of the Pahalgam terrorist attack and his previous promise to bring the perpetrators to justice. Modi proudly declared that India has fulfilled that promise—its armed forces struck the terrorist masterminds who were hiding across the border, especially in Pakistan. “Terrorists who once felt safe under the protection of the Pakistani military have now been eliminated,” he asserted. This, he emphasized, reflects the spirit of a “New India”—strong, fearless, and resolute.
He added that India would no longer tolerate any threats, including those masked by nuclear intimidation, and would continue to retaliate fiercely against all forms of terror, making no distinction between terrorists and the governments that harbor them.
On Maoist insurgency, Modi declared that the number of affected districts had dramatically dropped from over 125 to just 18 since 2014. Areas in Bihar like Sasaram and Kaimur, once Maoist strongholds, are now transitioning into zones of peace and progress. He assured the nation that the complete elimination of Maoist violence is near, promising a future marked by development, education, and security for all.
The event saw attendance from key political figures, including Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, reinforcing the united front in India’s internal and external security challenges.
