Mumbai Police have initiated an extensive manhunt to locate and apprehend the assailant responsible for attacking Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan in his Bandra residence during the early hours of Thursday. The incident, initially classified as a “burglary attempt,” took place in the high-end Satguru Sharan building.
CCTV footage from 2:33 AM reveals the suspect, a young man wielding a wooden stick and a Hexa blade, fleeing the premises. The individual, dressed in a brown collared T-shirt and a red scarf, was seen descending from the sixth floor. Saif Ali Khan’s apartment is located on the 12th floor.
The attack left not only the 54-year-old actor but also two others injured: Eliyama Philip, a 56-year-old staff nurse and the complainant, along with a domestic worker. The suspect is believed to have changed his clothes before making his escape.
The police have mobilized 20 dedicated teams to track the intruder. Investigators are relying on informers, technical surveillance, and the analysis of CCTV footage. Statements from Eliyama Philip, the building’s security personnel, and other staff have been recorded to assist in the case.
An official stated, “We are working to determine if the suspect has a prior criminal record. Our teams are leaving no stone unturned to apprehend him.” The intensified search operation underscores the urgency to ensure safety and justice.
