Actor's Medical Report Reveals Details of Injuries; Suspect Arrested

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured during an attempted burglary at his home on January 16, sustaining injuries to his back, wrist, neck, shoulder, and elbow. A medical report released on January 23 reveals that while the injuries are not life-threatening, Saif’s condition is being closely monitored by his medical team.

The report outlines the specifics of his injuries, including a 0.5 to 1 cm wound on the left side of his back, a 5 to 10 cm injury to his left wrist, and a 10 to 15 cm wound on his right neck. Additionally, he suffered a 3 to 5 cm injury on his right shoulder, and the most severe injury was a 5 cm wound to his right elbow.

Afsar Zaidi, Saif’s close friend and manager, reportedly rushed the actor to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after the attack. Zaidi, who lives nearby, arrived at the hospital with Saif at 4:11 a.m. on January 17.

The police have arrested Mohammad Shariful Islam, a Bangladesh national, in connection with the attack. Shariful Islam, who had been working for a housekeeping agency in Mumbai, was apprehended in Thane on January 19. The police have questioned over 50 people and formed 35 teams to investigate the incident. The attack on Saif has shocked both the public and Bollywood, given the high security of the area.
