Kochi: A large crowd of supporters, including women, has gathered outside the Kakkanad district jail, eagerly awaiting the release of businessman Boby Chemmannur after the court granted him bail. The scene outside the jail is filled with admirers holding flowers, ready to welcome Boby as soon as the bail order is officially received. The businessman had been arrested on the complaint of actress Honey Rose, who accused him of making inappropriate sexual remarks during an inauguration event.
In addition to his loyal fans, members of the Men’s Association are also present to show their support. Once the court’s bail order reaches the jail, Boby is expected to be released within the hour. The High Court had granted him bail earlier in the morning on the condition of a Rs. 50,000 bond and two sureties. Furthermore, Boby will be required to cooperate with the investigation and appear before officers whenever summoned.
After spending six days in jail, Boby’s lawyer confirmed that his client was willing to make amends to secure bail. The court had expressed discontent over certain statements Boby had made regarding Honey Rose. However, Boby’s lawyer, B Raman Pillai, assured the court that Boby was prepared to retract the comments he made against the actress, contributing to the favorable outcome of the bail proceedings.
