The much-awaited results for the 2024 Onam Bumper Lottery have been declared, with the first prize of a staggering Rs 25 crore going to ticket number TG 434222. The winning ticket, sold in Wayanad by agent Janeesh A M, has brought immense fortune to the buyer, making it one of the biggest wins in this year’s lottery. The agency involved is W402. The first prize draw was conducted by Finance Minister K N Balagopal at Gorkhy Bhavan, with V K Prashanth MLA handling the draw for the second prize. The event was also attended by top officials of the State Lottery Department, including director Abraham Wren and joint directors Maya N Pillai and M Raj Kapur.
In addition to the grand prize, the second prize of Rs 1 crore each will be awarded to 20 lucky winners. The third prize is set at Rs 50 lakh, while fourth and fifth prizes offer Rs 5 lakh and Rs 2 lakh respectively. Palakkad led ticket sales, with 13.02 lakh tickets sold, followed by Thiruvananthapuram (9.46 lakh) and Thrissur (8.61 lakh).
Interestingly, natives of Tamil Nadu – Pandyaraj, Natarajan, Kuppuswamy, and Rangaswamy – were among the recipients of the Thiruvonam bumper prize. Meanwhile, the Pooja Bumper Lottery, slated for December 4, has been announced, with tickets priced at Rs 300. The Pooja Bumper offers a second prize of Rs 1 crore each for five series, along with other attractive prizes ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 300.
