SSLC and Higher Secondary Exams Begin Today in Kerala

Over 4.27 Lakh Students to Appear for Exams Across Kerala, Gulf, and Lakshadweep

The SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) and Second Year Higher Secondary examinations commenced today in Kerala, marking the start of the exam season. A total of 4,27,021 students are appearing for the regular category exams at 2,964 centers across Kerala, 9 centers in Lakshadweep, and 7 centers in the Gulf region. The SSLC exams are scheduled from 9:30 am to 11:45 am, while the Higher Secondary exams will be held in the afternoon.

Malappuram educational district has the highest number of candidates, with 28,358 students appearing for the exams. In contrast, Kuttanad educational district in Alappuzha has the lowest number, with only 1,893 students. PKMM HSS in Edarikode, Tirurangadi, has the highest number of exam takers (2,017), while Fort Govt. Sanskrit HS in Thiruvananthapuram has just one student appearing.

The evaluation of answer sheets will take place in two phases, from April 3 to 26, at 72 centralized camps across the state. Education Minister V. Sivankutty extended his best wishes to the students, encouraging them to approach the exams with confidence and determination.

This annual examination period is a crucial milestone for students, and the state has made extensive arrangements to ensure a smooth and fair conduct of the exams. With thousands of students participating, the exams highlight the importance of education in Kerala and the collective efforts to support academic success.
