India vs South Africa ODI and T20I Squad Announcement: Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma headlined the ODI Squad Selections

The ODI leg begins on November 30, 2025, in Ranchi, followed by matches in Raipur on December 3 and Visakhapatnam on December 6.

India is all set to host South Africa for a high-voltage white-ball series featuring three ODIs and five T20Is. The ODI leg begins on November 30, 2025, in Ranchi, followed by matches in Raipur on December 3 and Visakhapatnam on December 6.

After the 50-over fixtures, the attention shifts to the T20Is, starting December 9 in Cuttack, before moving to New Chandigarh (Mullanpur) on December 11, Dharamsala on December 14, Lucknow on December 17, and ending with the final T20I in Ahmedabad on December 19.

The ODI series will be headlined by Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The veterans returned to international cricket during the Australia tour and made a big impact. Rohit Sharma scored a fifty and a century, while Kohli also played a match-winning knock in the final game. The greats need to do well against South Africa to boost World Cup selection hopes.

Hardik Pandya missed out on the Australia tour, and all eyes will be on him if he has recovered enough to get picked in the India squad. Also, eyes will be on Jasprit Bumrah if he makes the ODI squad, having played the Test matches.

For T20Is, Suryakumar Yadav will continue to lead again. There have been questions raised about Shubman Gill’s place in the T20I side, and it will be interesting to see if he gets another go. Also, the selectors will have to take a call on Sanju Samson, and if they want to keep him in the squad after a poor show in Australia. Given the T20 World Cup, it will be very unlikely that the BCCI decides to make a plethora of changes to the squad.
