Los Angeles, United States: The death toll from the wildfires devastating Los Angeles has climbed to 16, with many more individuals unaccounted for as the flames continue their relentless spread. Firefighters are battling fierce winds that are fueling the blazes, endangering additional neighborhoods and landmarks.
The fires, including the massive Palisades Fire, which has now scorched 23,600 acres, and the Eaton Fire, which has burned 14,000 acres, have left thousands displaced. More than 12,000 structures, ranging from homes and businesses to vehicles and outbuildings, have been reduced to ashes.
