OnePlus is preparing to unveil its next flagship device, the OnePlus 13, which is expected to make its debut in China in October 2024. The launch coincides with the anticipated release of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, which is set to power the new device. While the phone will be introduced in China first, its global release, including in India, is anticipated to follow in early 2025.
Expected Launch Date in India: The OnePlus 13 will launch in China in October 2024, aligning with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 announcement. Following the China release, the global availability of the OnePlus 13 is projected for early 2025. Based on previous launches, the Indian release is likely to occur in the first quarter of 2025.
Expected Price in India: The exact price for the OnePlus 13 has not been disclosed yet. However, it is expected to be priced in the premium range, similar to its predecessors. The starting price is anticipated to be between Rs 65,000 and Rs 70,000, considering the OnePlus 12’s launch price of Rs 64,999.
Expected Specifications: The OnePlus 13 is rumored to come with several notable upgrades:
Display: It will feature a 6.8-inch BOE X2 2K LTPO micro-curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering enhanced brightness and eye protection.
Chipset: The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, coupled with an Adreno GPU for superior graphics performance.
Camera System: The phone is expected to have a robust camera setup with a 50MP primary Sony LYT-808 sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP periscope lens with 3x optical zoom. This setup represents a significant upgrade over the OnePlus 12’s camera system.
Design and Battery: The OnePlus 13 will likely feature a glass back and may come with an IP69 rating for enhanced water and dust resistance. It will be equipped with a larger 6,000mAh battery and support for 100W fast charging. Although wireless charging might not be available, the increased battery capacity should provide improved endurance compared to the 5,400mAh battery in the OnePlus 12.
