Volkswagen India has officially opened bookings for the Tiguan R-Line, its high-performance SUV, ahead of its launch on April 14, 2025. The German automaker announced the development through an official press statement, confirming that customers can reserve the vehicle by visiting Volkswagen dealerships or through the official Volkswagen India website.
Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line: Engine and Performance
Volkswagen has also disclosed the engine specifications of the Tiguan R-Line. The SUV will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, delivering an impressive 204 hp and a peak torque of 320 Nm. The 7-speed DSG (Dual-Clutch Transmission) will channel power to all four wheels through Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel-drive system.
With its sporty performance, Volkswagen claims the Tiguan R-Line can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 229 km/h. This combination of power and agility is expected to make the Tiguan R-Line an exciting option for SUV enthusiasts.
