Fatal Explosion Claims Three Lives in Kargil

An explosion that occurred in Kargil, Ladakh, resulted in the tragic death of three individuals yesterday evening. Additionally, eleven people sustained injuries due to the blast. The incident unfolded at a fire shop located in Dras. The wounded individuals were admitted to Dras district hospital, with one of them being in critical condition.

Among the deceased was a non-resident, and the circumstances leading to the explosion remain unclear. According to local reports, a ‘suspicious’ object detonated within the shop. However, the police have yet to provide official confirmation. Srikanth Soose, the Deputy Commissioner of Kargil, stated that an investigation is currently underway.
