Tragedy Strikes Rajasthan Mine: One Fatality, 14 Rescued
In Neem ka Thana district, tragedy struck as one individual lost their life and 14 others were rescued from a mine collapse incident involving Hindustan Copper Limited officials. The rescue operation, spanning several hours and involving the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and local police, successfully saved the trapped individuals, who were later transferred to SMS Hospital in Jaipur for medical treatment.
The mishap occurred when a cage transporting the personnel, including members of the Kolkata vigilance team, plummeted due to a rope malfunction. The team, on an inspection mission, faced the unfortunate accident as the cage collapsed while ascending. Authorities are investigating the incident further to ascertain the cause and prevent such occurrences in the future.
