Yellow Alert Issued for Three Kerala Districts Due to Summer Rain

Several districts in Kerala, including the capital Thiruvananthapuram, experienced summer rain on Saturday. The weather forecast predicts heavy rain in the hilly areas of central and southern districts until Wednesday. Coastal regions may also experience isolated showers accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms. Despite the rainfall, there are no restrictions on fishing along the Kerala coast. While no high-temperature warnings have been issued for Sunday, residents are advised to remain cautious throughout the day.

A yellow alert has been issued for Pathanamthitta, Idukki, and Wayanad districts on Sunday. These districts, along with Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, and Idukki, will remain on yellow alert on Monday as well. The yellow alert indicates the possibility of receiving 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rain within a 24-hour period.
