Kangana Ranaut, the acclaimed actress and Member of Parliament, has announced a new film titled “Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata” amidst the delay of her highly anticipated directorial debut, “Emergency.” The announcement comes as “Emergency” faces challenges with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), causing its release to be postponed.
“Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata,” directed by Manoj Tapadia and produced by Babita Ashiwal (Eunoia Films) and Adi Sharmaa (Floating Rocks Entertainment), will showcase the remarkable stories of ordinary individuals whose contributions are vital to the functioning of the country. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on social media, highlighting Kangana’s central role in the film. The movie aims to spotlight the unsung heroes of the working class, focusing on the blue-collar employees who are often overlooked but whose efforts keep the country running.
Babita Ashiwal expressed her excitement about collaborating with Kangana, stating, “Working on this project has been incredibly rewarding. Our goal is to create content that captivates our audience. With Kangana on board, we are confident the movie will strike the right chord.” The film promises to be a tribute to the everyday individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes, making invaluable contributions to society.
Meanwhile, Kangana’s “Emergency,” a political drama that delves into the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the controversial 21-month emergency period she imposed from 1975 to 1977, is still awaiting certification from the CBFC. Kangana recently took to social media to clarify that while the film initially received clearance, the certification is now on hold due to multiple death threats against CBFC members. The delays have caused frustration, with Kangana voicing her concerns over demands to remove certain critical scenes, including the assassination of Indira Gandhi and the Punjab riots.
“Emergency,” which also stars Anupam Kher and the late Satish Kaushik, was originally set to release on September 6, but its future now remains uncertain. Despite the challenges, Kangana continues to push forward, with “Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata” being her latest endeavor to bring impactful stories to the big screen.
