Indian-Americans have launched the website DesiPresident.com with the tagline “Kamala Ke Saath” to support Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign. Harris, who has both Indian and Jamaican heritage, has inspired the Indian-American community to rally behind her historic candidacy. The website, created by the Indian American Impact Fund, has introduced a T-shirt with the slogan “Kamala Ke Saath: Vote Kamala,” which has quickly gained traction on social media.
In addition to promoting the campaign online, the group is organizing weekly virtual phone banks to engage voters and build support for Harris. Their efforts focus on mobilizing South Asian voters, aiming to help elect Harris as the first Indian-American president, and marking a significant moment in U.S. political history.
