Google Pixel Call Screening Feature May Expand to India and More Countries Soon

Google’s Pixel Call Screening feature, which allows users to transcribe calls from unknown or spam callers, could soon be available in more countries, including India. A Reddit user shared details of enabling the feature on a rooted OnePlus 7 running a custom Android 14 version, suggesting that Google might add support for over 10 languages and regions. While the user was able to enable the feature in Hindi (India) and English (India), it’s unclear if the automatic call screening feature available in the US will be part of the expanded rollout. The official announcement from Google is awaited, and if it happens, it may be introduced through a Pixel Feature Drop.

A Reddit user claims to have enabled Google’s Pixel Call Screening feature, which supports transcribing calls from unknown or spam callers, on a rooted OnePlus 7 device in Hindi and English (India). The feature, currently available in select countries, may soon expand to over 10 languages and regions, including English (Singapore), French (Belgium and Switzerland), German (Belgium, Austria, Switzerland), Italian (Switzerland and Italy), Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish (US/EE.UU). While the user demonstrated enabling it on a rooted device, an official announcement from Google is expected, potentially as part of a Pixel Feature Drop in March.
